Loopholes alley, leading to the Chjostru garden in Bastia.
This place scared the shit out of me when I was a kid, because at the top there was a closed black gate behind lots of sharp brambles, and there was no sign of anything beyond that door. So kids would say (or maybe it was only my imagination) that it was the door to Hell. Several years later the city refactored the garden into a school, cleaned the alley, and opened the gate which really lead to the road. Since then I have literally been able to go to Hell and back through where the black gate stood.
i really like the story behind the picture
the angle is wonderful, makes you feel like you staring right down a long hallway but on second glance you can notice the stairs.
the archways also make your eye move into the picture giving it a great sense of depth too.
stunning cature and excellent description to go with it, is this natural colors or toned in photoshop? either way the tones are amazing. i can see why it would scare one too.

I feel a sense of strong sacred emotion when i look at this. I can tell that it is a hellish type of place: the red tint, the stairs pointing down, the black gate, even the tatered-ness of it all. Its just old and eerie yet very sacred to you and your child hood. i enjoy this very much.
i like the rustiness in this. good shot and story too.

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
